SUMMERHILL

Summerhill is an extremely architecturally interesting two level single storey home that melts into it’s natural surroundings. Taking inspiration from the old stone wall and the way it hugs the hill, the home follows the natural grade of the property. The approach is reserved and unassuming and the home reveals itself to those that are invited in.

Summerhill features birch panel ceilings and wall details that punch through to the porch soffit with LED strip lighting, flush casing and baseboard with reveals and not a single level ceiling throughout.

The theme of connection to the forest continues with the living room and kitchen walls being almost completely glazed with two large lift and slide doors, one being 31’ long. The theme of bringing the outside in is also featured at the front entry with the turret stone coming into the home running from the basement to the ceiling.

Boasting extensive millwork that really adds to the aesthetics but also making for functional storage, the layout makes the home appear to be much larger than it is in reality.

Certainly one of the top architectural specimens in the province.

Our Favourite Feature: The living room and kitchen glazing.
